The challenge
What was broken before WeGroup showed up.
Thoma Assurantiën is the Dutch MGA inside PIB Group, the UK-based international insurance distributor. PIB reaches the Dutch market through Thoma, and Thoma sells a broad scope of retail and commercial products to its advisor network. Roughly sixty products across personal lines, commercial lines and specialty propositions.
Speed was the constraint. PIB Group's distribution thesis only works if the Dutch MGA platform can ship product variants at the pace the group needs. ANVA holds the policy data and the insurer connections, but bringing a new product to advisors used to mean weeks of configuration. Packages, custom policies and customer self-service all sat on different tracks. The platform had to consolidate that without replacing ANVA.
“PIB Group reaches the Dutch market through us. The platform we ship to advisors has to keep up with product launches the group decides on a Monday. We could not afford a week of configuration per product.”
What we built
WeGroup sits on top of ANVA as the MGA distribution layer. New products land in ANVA, get configured in WeGroup and reach the advisor network in two to three days. Packages, custom requests and customer portal share one platform.
Two to three days per new product
A product defined in ANVA is configured, live in the closing flow and ready for the advisor network inside two to three days. The group's product pace stops being a platform problem.
Packages and standalone policies, one flow
Advisors compose multi-policy packages or single policies inside the same flow. Quotes get faster, and custom-policy requests share the same surface as off-the-shelf products.
Live ANVA write-back
Every closing, mutation and contract change flows back to ANVA in real time. The system of record stays correct without overnight batches or back-office re-keying.
Mijn Omgeving for end-clients
Every Thoma client uses the customer portal to view policies, file claims, request mutations and update their relationship data, without going through the advisor first.
The numbers
What it produced, in numbers.
Products live in 6 months
Thoma shipped more than fifty retail and commercial products to the advisor network within six months. The group's product pace finally has a platform that matches it.
Per product live
From product definition in ANVA to live in the closing flow, with advisors quoting, in two to three days. No multi-week configuration cycle, no separate per-product project.
Total product scope
Roughly sixty products across personal, commercial and specialty propositions sit on one platform. Advisors close packages and standalones from a single surface.
ANVA write-back, customer portal
Every closing and mutation flows into ANVA in real time. End-clients use Mijn Omgeving for self-service on the same data spine.
The outcome
PIB Group reaches the Dutch market through Thoma. The platform underneath has to keep up with that. WeGroup turns ANVA into a fast-moving MGA layer: 50+ products live in six months, two to three days per product, packages and custom policies in the same flow.
Thoma Assurantiën now operates as PIB Group's product-velocity engine in the Dutch market. Roughly sixty products sit on the platform, fifty went live in six months and the next product ships in two to three days. The closing flow handles packages, single policies and custom requests on the same surface. ANVA stays the book of record.
For PIB Group, that turns the Dutch MGA from a distribution outlet into a product-launch lane. Whatever the group decides on Monday, Thoma's advisor network can quote on Wednesday.
In their words
We needed a platform that could keep up with PIB Group's product pace, on top of ANVA, without rebuilding the back office. WeGroup delivers that: fifty products live in six months, two days per new product, packages and customer portal on one surface.
