The challenge

Why they started working with WeGroup.

Private Insurance Assuradeuren is the volmacht firm within Ardonagh bringing the international MGA Orvia to market. The ambition is cross-border: personal-lines products for policyholders in Italy and beyond, mediated by English-speaking colleagues. That calls for a closing process that works the same across languages and countries, without rebuilding for each country.

The product definitions and calculations live in DIAS. A closing lane that does not sit tightly on top of that means double setup: products maintained twice, relation data drifting out of sync, and a second administration alongside the source system. Exactly what an international group does not want when it needs to plug in new products and countries fast.

After a multi-year partnership, PIA chose WeGroup to deliver that closing lane: an environment where English-speaking intermediaries quote, compare, close and review, with DIAS as the single leading source and a build generic enough to carry the next product and the next country.

We are rolling out Orvia internationally. The closing lane had to work the same across languages and countries, with DIAS as the single leading source and without rebuilding for every country.

What we built

WeGroup is the closing-lane and advice layer on top of DIAS: product definitions come from DIAS, closed policies write back to DIAS. The intermediary quotes, compares and closes in one process and four languages, with multiple products in one basket. Built generically, so the next products and countries plug into the same base.

Closing lane on top of DIAS

Product definitions come from the DIAS data warehouse, premiums through the DIAS Cloud APIs, and closed policies or packages write back to DIAS. Products are not set up twice and DIAS stays the single leading source.

Cross-border in four languages

The closing lane runs in English, French, German and Dutch, with the quote document in English and Italian. English-speaking intermediaries close products for policyholders across the border, in the same process.

Multiple products, one basket

Individual policies or a composed package in one closing process. Shared questions across products are asked once, so the intermediary never types the same thing twice.

Own control, generically reusable

PIA keeps control over the configuration of the closing lanes: screens, question text and coverage comparisons. Development is done generically, so the next products and countries plug into the same base.

The numbers

What it produced, in numbers.

Closing lane in EN, FR, DE, NL

4 languages

The closing flow runs in four languages, with the quote document in English and Italian. English-speaking intermediaries serve policyholders across the border from the same process.

Multiple products, one closing process

1 basket

Individual policies or a package land in one basket. Shared questions are asked once, double entry disappears.

Single leading source

DIAS

Product definitions from the DIAS data warehouse, premiums through the DIAS Cloud APIs, policies back to DIAS. No double setup, no second administration alongside the source system.

Built generically for the next countries

Reusable

The functionality is generic, so future products and countries plug into the same base, without rebuilding for each country.

In their words

We open up Orvia internationally through WeGroup. English-speaking intermediaries quote, compare and close in their own language, with DIAS as the single leading source. And because the build is generic, the next country plugs into the same base.
